DIY Homemade Toffee

Hello everyone!

Today's DIY goes together with next Tuesday's recipe but it's a homemade toffe that you can put anywhere you want to.

It's really delicious and, even better, super easy to do. You just need three ingredients (yes, just three) and you probably have them already at home.

DIY Homemade Toffee

Ingredients

  • 200g sugar
  • 45ml water
  • 150ml heavy cream (room temperature)

Directions

  • Mix the water and sugar in a pot and heat it until the sugar has dissolved. Bring to a boil until it turns into caramel (it will thicken and darken).
Here's a set of photos showing the progression:

  • Take away from the heat and pour the heavy cream in. Stir until you have reached the toffee consistency.

If the heavy cream were cold, it is possible that when you pour it in the pot, the caramel ends up forming a ball. In that case, put the pot at medium heat again and stirr until the ball has dissolved again.

Easy, isn't it?

Here's the pdf with the recipe.
